Login to the System

How do I log in to MAKÜNET?

You can log in to MAKÜNET (net.mehmetakif.edu.tr) with your e-Government password. You can access all student systems such as OBIS, course registration, attendance, cafeteria, and MAKÜ ÇÖZÜM from the Student tab on the MAKÜNET homepage; a separate username and password are not required.

 

How do I log in to OBIS (Student Information System)?

Select the Student tab on the MAKÜNET homepage and click on the Student Information System card. Course registration, grade viewing, and internship applications are done through this system.

 

I forgot my password or cannot log in with e-Government, what should I do?

You can obtain your e-Government password from PTT branches or through the password renewal methods of e-Government. If you have logged into MAKÜNET but cannot access a system, open a request with the Information Technology Department at MAKÜ ÇÖZÜM.

Registration and Course Processes

How is registration done at the college?

Registrations are made by the candidate themselves on the dates announced by ÖSYM. It is mandatory to bring the documents announced by ÖSYM and our University during registration. For details, please refer to the Registration Procedures page.

 

How do I register for courses, what is advisor approval?

Course registration is done through OBIS on the dates specified in the academic calendar. The courses you select are sent for your advisor's approval; follow the approval process from OBIS. You can find your advisor on the Academic Advisors page.

 

I am having trouble during course registration, who should I contact?

First, contact your advisor. If the issue is not resolved, open a request by selecting the Student Affairs Department and the Course Registration-Registration Renewal topic at MAKÜ ÇÖZÜM.

 

I missed the course registration period, what can I do?

Fill out the Excuse Registration Renewal Petition (OFRM-106) and the Excuse Course Registration Form (OFRM-107) on the Student Forms page and submit them along with your excuse document to the Department Chair. The acceptance of the excuse is subject to the decision of the College Administrative Board.

 

Can I add and drop courses during the add-drop week?

Yes. Fill out the Add-Drop Week Course Registration Form (OFRM-108) and get it approved by your advisor. The add-drop week is specified in the academic calendar.

 

Can I be exempt from courses I have taken before?

Fill out the Course Exemption Petition (OFRM-101) and submit it along with your approved transcript and course contents to the Department Chair. For exemption and equivalency questions, use the Exemption and Equivalency topic at MAKÜ ÇÖZÜM.

 

Can I take courses from a higher semester? How do I apply for summer school?

Students with a suitable academic standing can take courses from a higher semester with advisor approval. Applications for taking courses from a higher semester and summer school are made using the Higher Semester Course Application Form (OFRM-113) and the Summer School Application Petition (OFRM-114) found on the Student Forms page. Whether summer school will be opened is announced by our University each year.

 

I want to freeze my registration or cancel my registration, what should I do?

Fill out the Registration Freezing Petition (OFRM-105) or the Registration Cancellation Petition (OFRM-102) found on the Student Forms page and submit it to the Department Chair. For necessary documents, you can ask the Student Affairs at MAKÜ ÇÖZÜM regarding the Registration Cancellation-Registration Freezing topic.

 

Who should I ask about lateral transfer, DGS, and international student processes?

Under the Student Affairs Department at MAKÜ ÇÖZÜM, there are topics for Lateral Transfer, YKS/DGS/Special Talent Registration Procedures, and International Students. Application dates are announced in our University's announcements.

Exams and Grades

Where can I find out the exam dates?

Midterm and final exam periods are announced in the Academic Calendar, and the exam schedule is published in our College's announcements.

 

I couldn't take the exam, can I take the make-up exam?

Submit the Make-Up Exam Petition (OFRM-104) along with a document showing your excuse (such as a health report) to the Department Chair within the time specified in the regulations. The acceptance of the excuse is decided by the College Administrative Board.

 

What is a single course exam, how do I apply?

Students who have only one course remaining for graduation apply with the Single Course Exam Petition (OFRM-103). The exam date is specified in the academic calendar and announcements.

 

I think there is an error in my grade, can I appeal?

Submit the Material Error Petition (OFRM-110) to the Department Chair within the time specified in the regulations after the grades are announced. The petition will be reviewed by the course instructor, and the result will be communicated to you.

Documents and Student ID Card

Where can I obtain the student document?

You can obtain your student document through e-Government (Higher Education Institutions, Student Document) with a barcode. For documents to be submitted to institutions, an e-Government printout is sufficient; you do not need to submit a petition to the school.

 

How do I request transcripts and other documents?

Log in to MAKÜNET, go to MAKÜ ÇÖZÜM, select the Student Affairs Department and the Document Requests topic, and write which document you want.

 

I lost my student ID card or want to renew it, what should I do?

No form is filled out for new ID cards, loss, and renewal applications. Log in to MAKÜNET, go to MAKÜ ÇÖZÜM, select the Student Affairs Department and the Student ID Card topic, and write the reason for loss or renewal. Step-by-step instructions are in the MAKÜ ÇÖZÜM guide at the end of this page.

 

How do I update my address and contact information?

You can update your address, phone, and email information from the personal information section in OBIS; if you encounter any issues, you can write to Student Affairs from MAKÜ ÇÖZÜM.

Internship

What is the minimum number of workdays for an internship?

It is at least 20 workdays. A longer internship can be done with the recommendation of the Department Chair and the Internship Committee.

 

Can a first-year student do an internship?

Yes, they can do it with the permission of the Internship Committee. For application, use the First-Year Internship Eligibility Petition found on the Internship Forms page.

 

What documents should I submit before starting the internship?

The following documents must be submitted to the Department Secretary within the week before the internship start date: Internship Acceptance Form (institution approved), barcode health provision system document obtained from e-Government, internship information printout obtained from the OBIS system, and a copy of the Occupational Health and Safety certificate. Submission can be done in person or sent as signed and scanned to the school email. You cannot start the internship with incomplete documents.

 

Where can I obtain the student document I will give to the institution?

You will obtain it with a barcode through e-Government. Applications without a student document will not be considered by the institution.

 

Where can I obtain the Occupational Health and Safety certificate?

You can obtain it from our University's online course or from centers that provide occupational health and safety training.

 

How do I enter internship information into OBIS?

Log in to MAKÜNET with your e-Government password. Open the Student Information System in the Student tab. Go to the Internship Application section from the Course and Semester Processes menu, enter your institution information and internship dates, and save. Print the output from the print section, get it signed, and submit it along with other documents to the Department Secretary. How do I fill out the Internship File?

The Internship File (STJ-105) is downloaded as a PDF from the Internship Forms page, printed, and filled out by hand. A computer-filled file is not accepted. The work done on the daily pages is written every day, and the bottom of the page is approved by the institution official with a stamp and signature; pages are filled out for the number of days the internship is done. The practical workdays page contains the student signature along with the stamp and signature of the institution official. The Confidential Evaluation Form is filled out by the institution, placed in an envelope, sealed by the institution, and stamped. The file is placed in a blue-covered folder and submitted along with the sealed envelope.

 

When should I fill out the survey in the internship notebook?

WARNING: The survey that students will fill out in the internship notebook must be completed on the date the internship notebook is submitted to the school.

 

What should I do if I receive a salary during the internship?

If you are receiving a salary from businesses other than public institutions and the business wants to benefit from state support, the Institution State Incentive Form (STJ-103) must be filled out by the business. It must be submitted to the College within 7 days after the internship ends, along with a bank receipt showing that the salary has been paid. This form is not requested at the beginning of the internship.

 

What should I do if I receive a health report during the internship?

Notify the College without delay by contacting them. Since the SGK transactions at the beginning and end of the internship are done by the school, it is necessary to provide information.

 

When and how do I submit the internship file?

It is submitted to the Department Secretary by the deadline specified in the announcement after the internship ends. The file can be brought in person or sent by cargo in complete form.

 

Where can I access internship forms and the annual internship calendar?

All current forms are available on the Internship Forms page. For the annual calendar and general explanations, please refer to the Internship Announcement page. For internship questions, select the Student Affairs Department and the Internship Processes topic at MAKÜ ÇÖZÜM.

Graduation

How is my graduation decided?

Your situation is discussed in the Graduation Commission and the College Administrative Board when you have successfully completed the courses you are required to take and the summer internship and completed the required credits according to the regulations.

 

What should I do after the graduation decision?

Apply to the Student Affairs Office. Have the Termination Document given at the office signed by the relevant units and submit it. If your diploma is not ready, a Temporary Graduation Document will be issued; you must return the original of this document when you collect your diploma.

 

Can someone else collect my diploma on my behalf?

The diploma or Temporary Graduation Document is delivered only to the student themselves or to a proxy authorized by a notary. A photocopy of the proxy's ID is required.

Cafeteria and Social Support

How do I make a cafeteria reservation?

Log in to MAKÜNET, open the MAKÜ Campus: ID Card and Cafeteria link in the Personal and Campus section. Load balance into your cafeteria wallet using the Load Balance / Manage button, open the Make Reservation page from the menu, select the day and meals, and confirm. Where can I view the weekly meal list?

The Weekly Meal List is published on our University's page; the menu of the day is also visible on the MAKÜNET homepage.

 

How do I apply for the lunch scholarship?

During the dates announced at the beginning of each academic year, fill out the Lunch Scholarship Application Form (OFRM-111) found on the Student Forms page and submit it to the College Secretary.

Advising and Communication

Who is my academic advisor, how can I reach them?

Your advisor is listed on the Academic Advisors page according to your program and class. You can find email and phone information on the Academic Staff page, and you can prefer your advisor's weekly advising hours for meetings.

 

How do I communicate with the college?

I couldn't find the answer I was looking for, who should I write to?

Open a request through MAKÜ ÇÖZÜM within MAKÜNET to the relevant unit. For student and educational affairs, select the Student Affairs Department; for computer and account issues, select the Information Technology Department; for general issues concerning our College, select the Bucak Hikmet Tolunay Transportation and Logistics Vocational School unit. How to use it is explained below.

How to Use MAKÜ ÇÖZÜM?

MAKÜ ÇÖZÜM is a support system within MAKÜNET where students and staff can send questions, suggestions, and requests to any unit of the University. Each request receives a tracking number, and responses appear on the Notifications screen.

 

1. Log in to MAKÜNET. Log in to net.mehmetakif.edu.tr with your e-Government password and select MAKÜ ÇÖZÜM from the left menu.

 

2. Go to the New Request tab. Frequently used help desks (Student Affairs, Information Technology, Health Culture and Sports, Construction Works and Technical) are visible as shortcuts; for another unit, type the unit name in the search box and select from the list.

3. Select a topic. Topics for Student Affairs include: Course Registration-Registration Renewal, Exemption and Equivalency, Graduation-Diploma, Registration Cancellation-Registration Freezing, Student ID Card, Internship Processes, Lateral Transfer, International Student, Document Requests, YKS/DGS/Special Talent Registration Procedures, and Other Topics. The topic you select directs your request to the relevant team of the unit.

4. Write a title and description. Write when the problem started, what you want to do, and any error messages if available. Do not share personal information such as passwords.

 

5. Attach files if necessary (up to 5 files, 10 MB per file; PDF, image, Office, and text files) and press the Submit Request button.

 

6. Follow up. In the My Requests tab, you can filter your requests by unit and status, and you can see responses from the Notifications tab.

 

Note: A maximum of 3 new requests can be opened within the last 60 minutes; this limit is common for all units.
