The aim of the Public Relations and Promotion Program is to ensure that the institution attracts the attention of consumers, who are the target audience the institution aims to reach, by accurately conveying and promoting itself in an environment where competition, customer needs, and expectations are increasing. In this context, the program aims to train qualified human resources who can conduct research and planning in their field, possess knowledge and skills in mass communication tools, and can effectively use public relations strategies in the national and international market.
The mission is to train versatile proactive communication personnel who are aware of the requirements of the public relations discipline, possess strong communication skills, creative thinking, and strategic management foundations, act in accordance with professional ethics, follow and apply scientific and technological developments, and have a high level of social responsibility awareness, capable of adapting to changing global conditions.
The vision is to be a pioneering program that responds to the needs of the region at the national level in the field of Public Relations and Promotion, closely follows developments that affect the social structure in the international arena, reaches and produces universal knowledge, is part of the digital world, contributes to the scientific community, society, and business life with an innovative, liberal, and ethical stance; and trains qualified professionals equipped with creative and effective communication skills who can meet the needs of the sector.

In the Public Relations and Promotion Program, students must complete a 20 working days mandatory internship as a graduation requirement. The internship is carried out in public or private sector organizations suitable for the professional field of the program, in accordance with the Internship Directive of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Vocational Schools and the internship calendar determined by the School Board.
Private organizations are established for profit and must work efficiently to increase their profits. This obligation forces them to work in the field of human relations both within and outside the organization, and they need to maintain good relationships with individuals and institutions outside the organization.
Therefore, the importance given to public relations in both private and public organizations is increasing every day.
Graduates of this two-year program:
• Can work as mid-level professional staff in the public relations and promotion departments of public and private sector organizations,
• Can work as customer relations specialists, product or service managers.

• Have opportunities to work in newspapers, magazines, television, advertising agencies, and organizations related to public opinion research.
Graduates of the Public Relations and Promotion Program have the right to continue to a bachelor's program related to their graduation fields if they succeed in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by ÖSYM.

The Public Relations and Promotion Program of Bucak Hikmet Tolunay Transportation and Logistics Vocational School has been accredited by the Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MEDEK) as a result of the evaluation process, valid from 01.01.2026 to 31.12.2029.
The educational activities of the program are regularly reviewed in line with the continuous improvement approach and developed in accordance with the dynamics of today's communication world.
MEDEK accreditation certifies that the program has been evaluated according to national standards in terms of its educational processes, student-centered practices, academic staff, program outcomes, assessment and evaluation methods, quality assurance approach, and sustainable development efforts.
The Public Relations and Promotion Program sees raising the quality of education to the highest level, training equipped graduates who fully meet the expectations of the communication sector, supporting students' visionary and strategic development, and continuing development activities in light of stakeholder opinions as its main objectives.

Activity reports related to the program, unit self-assessment reports, student and stakeholder survey results, and performance indicators are published on our school's quality pages.
Within the program, student satisfaction surveys, advisory meetings, internal and external stakeholder opinions, and graduate feedback are regularly evaluated. Improvement activities are planned, implemented, and necessary updates are made based on the data obtained.
