A Recycling Fashion Show Was Held on World Environment Day

Our Vocational School's Child Development Program Academic Staff Lecturer Merve ALTUN coordinated the traditional Recycling Fashion Show held every year to raise environmental awareness and draw attention to the importance of recycling, which was also held this year on June 5 as part of World Environment Day.

In the event, students from the Child Development Program, along with students from Bucak Provincial Services Union Kindergarten, Bucak Zübeyde Hanım Kindergarten, and TOBB Kindergarten, walked the red carpet in creative outfits designed from recycled materials. The fashion show, where waste materials were transformed into aesthetic and functional designs, received great appreciation from the participants while conveying important messages about environmental protection and sustainable living.

The school administration, along with academic and administrative staff and students, showed great interest in the event, which was also attended by the administrative staff, teachers, and parents of the kindergartens. The unique designs showcased throughout the fashion show demonstrated that recycling is not only an environmental responsibility but also an important educational tool that supports creativity.

The event aimed to develop environmental awareness in children at an early age, promote a culture of recycling, and create awareness for the protection of natural resources. The designs prepared with the imagination and effort of the students were followed with interest by the audience.

At the end of the event, thanks were given to our academic staff, students, the administrators and teachers of the kindergartens that collaborated, our parents, and all stakeholders who contributed to the organization.
